Lay a paper plate or wicker plate holder upside down on a flat surface. After I placed the plate on top I put a couple of heavy books on top and let it sit for 24 hours – this was the hardest part! I did this to each individual tier before attaching them to one another. Hot glue will work for the wicker and painted glass candlestick holder stand. Once the burner covers are covered, add some E6000 glue to the bottom of the small vase and place. Standard size store bought cupcakes (or make your own) Small candies that match the sprinkles on the cupcake stand. Apply the E6000 glue to the sides of the burner covers and begin stacking the blocks around. PS.The first thing I did was pick up a few glass plates and candlestick holders at the dollar store. ![]() So I just went today and got the stuff to make these stands, and I really could not be happier with the results!!! They were so cheap to make, and so so simple, but the finished product is so cute, and chic, and pretty! The tutorial was so great while doing it, and I appreciate the added advice from your trial run (So many ppl leave out the details)and I was super drawn to being able to totally personalize the colors to fit my grandmother unique personality and the feel I'm trying to go for at the party. So I recently decided to plan a surprise birthday party for my grandmother, with cupcakes instead of cake (I ADORE cupcakes), and have been searching around DIY party decor and stuff, very vintage/indie/retro kind of feels. THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS!! I am relatively new (been diving in full throttle about 4 months) to the world of crafting (especially interested in upcycle, re-purpose,and frugal crafts). ![]()
